Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies have arrested three men in connection with an investigation into the killing of a 28-year-old woman and the burning and disposal of her body, authorities say.
Abel Gallegos has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased body and arson in the death of Cymone Duran early in the morning of Nov. 5, according to Jenny Fulton, spokeswoman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Alonso Quintana, 27, was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder, kidnapping, intimidation of a witness and possession of a weapon by a previous offender, Fulton said. Rene Rosales, 35, is under investigation of being an accessory to first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, arson and tampering with evidence, she said.
“I don’t believe these suspects are cooperating,” Fulton said.
Pleasant View firefighters found Duran’s burned body at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 5 near the intersection of Nile Street and West Seventh Avenue in Golden, Fulton said.
Duran had been shot multiple times before her body was set on fire.
