A 26-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 48 years in prison for the murder of a 28-year-old victim in her Five Points apartment.
Esstefan Hamlin had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the July 2017 death of Christina Weir, according to the district attorney’s office. Hamlin also pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary in the case.
Hamlin was sentenced to 24 years for the burglary conviction. The sentences ordered by Denver District Judge William Robbins are to run consecutively, according to a news release.
