A man accused of murder fired 15 to 20 rounds from his basement into his home that killed a Florence woman, according to an arrest affidavit.
Thomas Randall Addington, 59, was arrested Sunday on charges of murder in the second degree, criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon.
The body of Amanda Yellico, 40, was discovered Sunday by a friend on the floor of Addington’s home at 1016 W. Second St. in Florence.
Authorities entered Addington’s house and found him in the basement, describing him as “disoriented and confused.”
In an interview with Colorado Bureau of Investigation agent David Lopez, Addington admitted to taking meth on Saturday afternoon. He said he had known Yellico for years and allowed her to stay with him, but he wanted her to leave.
