A man shot early Saturday in northwest Denver has died, police tweeted.
A man was transported to a hospital about 12:30 a.m. after being shot in the 4300 block of West 38th Avenue in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood, police said. He was pronounced dead early Saturday.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, spokesman Carlos Montoya said.
Authorities originally responded to a medical call outside the Beer Depot Lounge, Montoya said. Officers then realized that the man had been shot, he said.
Police did not have any information about a suspect, Montoya said.
West 38th Avenue was closed in both directions after the shooting.
UPDATE: The male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital early this morning.
